About Me
I first tried yoga in the late '90s, and for a long time it was just an occasional part of my routine, until I got hooked on hot Vinyasa around 2021. After practicing this fast-moving and demanding style of yoga for a few years, I developed patellar tendinopathy in both knees. Suddenly I struggled with poses that I'd always been able to do without any problem.
Most mainstream classes I went to didn't offer any support for people with injuries or mobility issues. I was on my own to figure out how to adapt poses if I wanted to keep practicing.
This inspired me to pursue teaching: I wanted to help others with similar experiences who enjoy the benefits of yoga but might need modifications and/or props to make it more accessible for their unique bodies.
My classes are often a blend of Hatha and gentle Vinyasa - sometimes flowing between poses, sometimes lingering in deep stretches. No matter what's on the menu for any given class, I am dedicated to helping every student find ways to practice that meet them where they are.
